National Night Out (NNO)
Tuesday, October 1st
7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Hosted On Individual Streets
National Night Out in Sydney Harbour is an opportunity to meet your neighbors and become more acquainted so we can work together to keep crime down in our community.   We  can do this by watching out for each other.
The first National Night Out was fairly simple. In most communities, it amounted largely to "lights on" vigils and some basic information being delivered to the community. The event was quite popular, however, and attracted more than 2 million participants in both Canada and the United States.  Now, the focus of National Night Out is on bringing neighbors and communities together with block parties, cookouts, and various other events as common ways for communities to come together.
More details to come.
Italian Night (Adults Only)

7:00 pm - 11:00 pm

Fall Garage Sale
Saturday, October 19th
8:00 am - 12:00 noon
Sydney Harbour's Fall Community Garage Sale is again scheduled. There are usually quite a few homes participating and a lot of traffic coming through the neighborhood.  This is a good way to clean out those closets attics.

Santa Claus is coming to Sydney Harbour. The Christmas holidays will be here before we know it! Santa Clause will join us in the neighborhood clubhouse for cookies and pictures.   Bring the kiddos and let them enjoy the season with their friends and neighbors.

Communication Committee
The Communications Committee, chaired by Linda Holmes, coordinates and publishes the neighborhood newsletter and updates the website and Facebook page as needed. If you have any suggestions for articles for the newsletter, please send it through the neighborhood e-mail at sydneyharbour2009@yahoo.com. The newsletter is distributed through the US mail to all residents.  If you know of anyone who is not receiving the newsletter or not on the Sydney Harbour e-mail listing, please have them send their e-mail & mailing address to sydneyharbour2009@yahoo.com.
Deed Restrictions Committee
The Committee will work with Montagne Community Services, our management company, to enforce our Deed Restrictions.  Volunteers are needed from each of the sections to assist in this effort to make it successful.  You do not have to do the monthly drive through, just be willing to help review the violations and work with the management company to determine the appropriate action that needs to be taken.  This Committee is not being created to pick on residents or enforce opinions of what is right or wrong.  There are written Deed Restrictions and those will be followed.  Please remember that this committee is made up of volunteers so treat them with respect and cooperation.

Each section of Sydney Harbour is governed by a “Declaration of Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions”(also known as Deed Restrictions).  The Deed Restrictions are in place to assist in keeping our neighborhood the nice community we all bought into as well as hopefully retain or increase our property values.  You should have received a copy of your Deed Restrictions at the time of purchasing your home.  These documents can also be found on our Sydney Harbour HOA website ( www.sydneyharbourhoa.org  )
Landscape Committee
The Landscape Committee, chaired by Jackie Warren, is charged with the beautification of Sydney Harbour.  This committee works hard to keep the subdivision plants and trees nurtured.  They are responsible for purchasing and planting as needed, for managing the landscaper who has been contracted to keep the common areas mowed, edged, and cleaned. The Landscape Committee also manages the Yard of the Month.  Sometimes they have a difficult time determining who should win for the month because Sydney Harbour residents have such beautiful yards.
Events Committee
The Events Committee, chaired by Kathy Emery, is charged with the fun in the neighborhood.  Kathy and her committee sponsor several events throughout the year to gather neighbors together to have fun.  They try to mix the entertainment between children's activities and adult activities.
Lakes Committee
The Lakes Committee is responsible for ensuring the lakes are in good working condition, including the fountains.  If you have any concerns about the lakes, please e-mail sussan.martinez@montagecommunityservices.com.
Pool & Clubhouse Committee
The Pool and Clubhouse Committee, chaired by J.J. Martin, is responsible for insuring the good working condition of the pool.  This committee also determines who the pool company will be each year and works closely with them to ensure lifeguards are always available and the pool equipment is working.  The Pool & Clubhouse Committee also manage the clubhouse to ensure it is working good and clean.  If you should have any questions or concerns about the pool or clubhouse, please e-mail  sussan.martinez@montagecommunityservices.com.
Architectural Committee
The Architectural Committee, chaired by Doug McCullough, is charged with determining approval or disapproval of all property change requests from residents.  Please use the website under Architectural Control to review the guidelines and obtain the correct forms.

If you would like to meet and work with your neighbors, be a part of one of the following committees. Please fill out a contact form for more information or e-mail sussan.martinez@montagecommunityservices.com.
